    • Opticians Council of Canada (OCC), hereafter referred to as the “Sponsor”, is hosting a Contest, hereafter referred to as “Contest”, leading up to World Sight Day to raise awareness and educate the public on vision care. My Loud Speaker, hereafter referred to as the “Agency”, will be executing the Contest. Questions will be released daily and all correct answers will garner an entry into a weekly prize pool that will be drawn at the end of the week. All entries will also be submitted into a draw for the grand prize.
    • For each correct question answered, participants will receive one entry into the Weekly Contest Period draws and the Grand Prize Period draw. All participants are limited to one entry per Weekly Contest Period and Grand Prize Period for each individual question correctly answered. Additional entries into the Weekly Contest Period and Grand Prize Period can be acquired by participating in social media activities.     • Residents of Canada, excluding residents of Quebec, are eligible to enter this Contest if they are of age of majority in their province of residency. Employees of the Agency, members of the OCC board and committees, and members of their immediate family, are not eligible to enter this Contest. "Immediate family" is defined as parents, siblings, children, spouse or partners.
    • No purchase necessary. Go to weloveyoureyes.ca (the “Website) and select a question on the webpage. Enter the correct answer to the question provided. Supply your name, complete address, telephone number (including area code), and e-mail address in accordance with the website directions and you will be registered. Once registered, each contest question that you correctly answer will garner you one entry into all active Weekly Contest Periods as well as the Grand Prize Period.
    • The “Weekly Contest Periods” consists of four (4) weeks (referred to as “Week 1” “Week 2” “Week 3” Week 4”) the first week of which begins on Monday, September 8th 2014 and the last week of which ends on Sunday, October 12th 2014. During the Weekly Contest Period:
      • Week 1 will commence at 12:00:01 a.m. (PST) Monday September 8th 2013 and close at 11:59:59 p.m. (PST) Sunday September 14th 2014
      • Week 2 will commence at 12:00:01 a.m. (PST) Monday September 8th 2013 and close at 11:59:59 p.m. (PST) Sunday September 21st 2014.
      • Week 3 will commence at 12:00:01 a.m. (PST) Monday September 8th 2013 and close at 11:59:59 p.m. (PST) Sunday September 28th 2014.
      • Week 4 will commence at 12:00:01 a.m. (PST) Monday September 8th 2013 and close at 11:59:59 p.m. (PST) Sunday October 5th 2014.
      • The “Grand Prize Period” commences at 12:00:01 a.m. (PST) Monday September 8th 2014 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. (PST) Sunday October 12th 2014.
    • Collectively, the Weekly Contest Period and the Grand Prize Period constitute the “Contest Period”.
      1. Week 1 Prize: Five (5) prizes of twenty four (24) Cineplex Admit One Certificates.
      2. Week 2 Prize: Ten (10) prizes of Amazon Kindle, 6” E Ink Display, Wi-Fi
      3. Week 3 Prize: Three (3) prizes of Apple iPad mini 16gb
      4. Week 4 Prize: One (1) prize of 50” LED 1080P HDTV
      5. Grand Prize: One (1) prize of $3000 in President's Choice Gift Cards.
    • Prizes identified above will only be awarded in the form of one of the following - the delivery of which shall be at the cost of the Sponsor or Agency as part of the prize value (identified below):
      1. a gift certificate or a gift card,
      2. a pre-payment or credit payment system arranged by the Sponsor or Agency with a vendor agreed upon by both the winner and the agency, or
      3. at the option of the Agency, provision of the prize goods in kind.
    • Approximate retail value of the “Week 1 Prize”: 1100$CAD
    • Approximate retail value of the “Week 2 Prize”: 900$CAD
    • Approximate retail value of the “Week 3 Prize”: 1100$CAD
    • Approximate retail value of the “Week 4 Prize”: 1000$CAD

    • *The location and vendor for the shopping excursion will depend on the geographic location of the prize winner. The Sponsor and Agency reserve the right to limit choices made by the prize winner as to which vendor they wish to use.
    • Odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of entries received during each Weekly Contest Period and Grand Prize Period. Each winner is solely responsible for all additional taxes and expenses, which are not included in the prize description above, including but not limited to fees, additional accessories and all other costs incurred in claiming or using the prize(s).
    • Weekly Prizes: Weekly Prizes will be awarded online based on a random draw that will be administered at the end of each relevant week during the Weekly Contest Period by the Agency, located in Vancouver BC, from all eligible entries received during the Weekly Contest Period up to the current date of the prize draw. Potential winners will be notified and instructed as to how the prize can be claimed.
    • Grand Prize: Grand Prize will be awarded online based on a random draw that will be administered at the end the Grand Prize Period by the Agency, located in Vancouver BC, from all eligible entries received during the Grand Prize Period. Potential winners will be notified immediately and instructed as to how the prize can be claimed.
    • Subject to these Contest rules, each prize winner will be awarded the stipulated prize corresponding to the Contest period. Upon closure of a prize period, the Agency will immediately act (during hours of the day that are reasonable for commercial contact) to notify potential winners of their selection and of instructions as to how the prize can be claimed.
    1. To be declared a prize winner and entitled to receive a prize, the potential winner must be eligible according to the Contest Rules and, except where prohibited by law:
        1. Be reached by the Agency within 48 hours of the random draw and provide the requisite information (full name, address, phone number).
        2. Confirm eligibility to participate in this Contest and compliance with these Rules, and acceptance of the prize as awarded; and
        3. Release and hold harmless each of the following from and against any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property which could arise out of or are in any way related to the Contest and from the awarding, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize, or participation in the Contest:
          1. the Sponsor, Agent and Shopping Excursion Vendors and each of their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies;
          2. all sponsors, suppliers of prizes, materials or services related to this Contest; and
          3. in respect of all of each of the bodies above, their respective employees, directors, officers, shareholders, agents successors and assigns;
      such release and holding harmless to be confirmed by the applicable prize winner, whose confirmation and agreement shall be deemed given upon agreeing to receive award of a prize to be awarded.
    2. Failure to meet or comply with any of the above conditions or otherwise with these Rules, will result in the disqualification of the selected potential winner. In this event, a new random draw from the valid entries received during the applicable Contest Period will be performed to select a succeeding potential prize winner of the applicable prize in the same manner as set out in paragraph 8, above. Failing which, another new random draw will be held and the process repeated above in sequence (time permitting) until all the conditions and any rules are fulfilled. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if any or all potential winners, or identifiable prize winners are not declared and the conditions and rules are fulfilled by the Sponsor and the Agency by November 1, 2014, then the unawarded prizes and the Contest in respect of them will be void.
    3. Upon compliance with 9.1 b) and 9.1 c) Contest organizers will inform each prize winner of the manner in which he/she will have to take possession of his/her prize(s). Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash and will only be awarded in the form identified in paragraph 6 above. Retailers and/or establishments have to be verified by the Agency. Prize winners will have one week after consenting to inform the Agency of specific stores or businesses at which he/she would agree to redeem his/her prize(s). All other prizes will be distributed by mail after the winner has provided the appropriate details.
    4. By entering this Contest, the winner authorizes the Sponsor and the Contest organizers and their representatives to use in any related publicity, at the Sponsor’s option, his/her name, photograph, image, television appearance, any statements he/she may make regarding the prize, place of residence and/or voice for advertising purposes worldwide in perpetuity and in any form of media without any form of compensation or further notice, except where prohibited by law.
    5. If, for reasons beyond their control and not related to the prize winner, the Sponsor is unable to award a prize as described in these rules, the Sponsor will substitute a prize of similar nature, and of equal or greater value.
    6. The Contest is void in Quebec and wherever prohibited by law, and is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations. Any dispute arising hereunder shall be adjudicated in the applicable court in Vancouver, British Columbia, and all potential winners and prize winners attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
    7. Entries are subject to verification by the Sponsor and the Agency. The Sponsor, Agent and Shopping Excursion Vendors, and their respective advertising and promotional agencies. Their respective employees, agents and representatives may not be held liable for:
      1. late, lost, delayed, not received, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, stolen, fraudulent, or illegible entries (all of which entries shall be automatically void and not eligible for a prize);
      2. failure to receive entries due to transmission failures, busy signals, traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, servers, access providers, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or recipient; or
      3. any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer, tablet, smartphone or other electronic devices related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest and breaches of privacy due to interference by a third party or computer "hackers".
    8. The Sponsor (or the Agency on behalf of the Sponsor) reserves the right to void any entry and/or cancel or modify the Contest in whole or in part (without notice to entrants individually) if, in its sole discretion, it determines that for any reason (such as tampering or infection by computer virus or any other cause beyond its control) the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if fraud, technical failures, human, printing or distribution errors, or any other causes or occurrences have compromised the administration, safety, fairness or integrity of the Contest. Any person entering this Contest or trying to do so by any means which go against the intention of these Rules and which would be unfair to the other participants (including, without limitation, computer hacking, fraudulent use of one or several access codes or obtaining such access codes through fraudulent means, etc.) will be automatically disqualified and the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law - including criminal prosecution.
    9. By entering this Contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by the above rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and of the Agency, which are final, binding and conclusive on all matters relative to this Contest.
